I went through this entire ATA for the sake of my curiosity and I'd like to say that it's so annoying to watch so many antis keep doing this thing where they genuinely believe being a proshipper makes you a pedophile. Since when does being anti-censorship mean that you have sexual and/or romantic desires for real life? And even then with dark/comshipping, how does shipping taboo fiction equate to wanting to act on those things in real life? So many of these people cannot draw a fine line between fiction and reality and that's where they fail. Fiction CAN affect reality as long as you're letting it. Fiction can distort reality as long as you're unable to recognize a difference. And if you can't see the border, the separation between what's not real and what IS real then I don't think you should outwardly be seeking out profiction spaces on the internet and harassing them just because you're incapable of recognizing a very simple difference. Actually if you can't separate fiction from reality in general maybe you shouldn't be on the internet at all. An interest in fictional shipping will never equate to real life pedophilia and it's honestly very disrespectful to be so stuck up your own ass that you don't recognize how this comparison harms real life victims. fictional ships and fictional content do not equate to CSEM/CSAM and they never will. And it's curious how they say fiction affects reality but if it came down to someone who enjoyed fictional gore in horror movies, they wouldn't go out of their way to say that person " fetishizes irl gore ". Or if someone had an interest in fictional movies about shooting people, you wouldn't immediately assume that person wants to go out and shoot people themself. That's just not how it works. Nobody is being harmed in fiction. And fiction doesn't harm people unless they let it. Simple. Most of these antis want to " protect children " so bad that they can't even do proper research on what they're harassing people over. Let alone, most of these people go out of their way to harass genuine minors in the proshipping community. Tell them to die or that they deserve to go through trauma. So much for wanting to protect children. I just don't get it. I get not wanting to be Proship or be in the community or whatever and I don't care if it's not something you support, but going out of your way to seek out proshippers and harass them for the sake of something you haven't even done research on and don't TRULY care enough about is so stupid. It just proves to me that you're so hellbent on feeling like a savior that you'll do anything just to seem like the " better person ". Even if that means harassing and targetting people. Literally every proshipper i've met has been a 100 percent more nicer than any anti. Every proshipper I've met has been more educated on what is GENUINELY pedophilia and grooming more than any anti I've seen. All of the proshippers I've met have been so understanding and kind while most antis I've met have been the opposite. And again, those are the people who try so desperately to protect kids and protect people overall over literal fiction.
